30TH MINT DIRECTORS CONFERENCE

The 30th Mint Directors Conference will be hosted by the Korea Minting, Security Printing & ID Card Operating Corp. (KOMSCO) in Seoul, Korea.   The conference will be held from April 23rd to April 26th.

Since its foundation in 1951, KOMSCO’s primary responsibilities have been manufacturing and supplying national security products, such as banknotes and coins. KOMSCO has diversified its business to include  ID products and security papers  while continuing to honor its public responsibilities as a state-owned company.

The Mint Directors Conference is held every two years and provides a venue for representatives from central banks, mints, equipment and material suppliers from around the world to gather.   Information on all monetary  matters and related issues in the minting industry is exchanged and discussed by participants during the conference.  Universal is a proud sponsor of this year’s Mint Directors Conference.

Mr. J.D. Walker, President and General Manager of Universal Machine Company will be attending the conference.  He will be available to meet with existing customers and potential new customers to discuss current and future coin processing needs.
